Investigation 1: Ghost Lights
Late one night, as I was sitting in my office playing gam- I mean, investigating cases, a woman stepped into my office. She looked nervous, like she didnt want to be seen entering a place like mine. I closed my case files and looked at her. "Can I help you?" I asked, leaning back in my chair. "It's my husband." She said, still not quite meeting my gaze. "He disappeared without a trace the other day, and the police are no help, and I just don't know what to do. I heard you take on.... particular troubles."
"You mean supernatural?" She nods, then looks embarrassed to be seeking assistance from me instead of a priest. Which, to be fair, is understandable, I do have kind of a reputation for unorthodox methods. I tend to look at traditions as suggestions rather than regulations.

So that's how I ended up in the bistro across from one of the fancy office buildings at 3:15 am, ignoring my latte and scanning the skyline. I glanced at my watch, and grimaced. 'I'll never wake up on time at this rate.' All of the sudden, lights started flashing in one of the offices. The waitress walked by, noting the object of my interest and shook her head. "Those burn the candle at both end types sure do get up to some odd shenanigans, dont they?" "How do you mean?" I asked, curiosity piqued. "Just every night, that office flashes its lights, then every office down the building flashes their lights once, almost like a power surge starts there and runs down or something." I scratch down a quick note, then thank her for the coffee and conversation. Making to leave, she slips a piece of paper in my hand, which I quickly pocket. Walking down the block, I begin to look for a side entrance to the building. Finding one, I make my way inside and to the floor the lights were on. Every office the lights flashed in had papers thrown around everywhere like a tornado had ripped through, but the walls were still intact. I found no sign of the lady's husband, so I decided to come back the next day to figure out if he'd been into work the last few days.

So that ended up being a dead end, he hadnt been in, nobody had seen him, he kept odd hours and they assumed he was sleeping them off. So I found myself in the office buildings this time at 3:15, waiting for the lights to go off. Right at the usual time on the nose the lights began flashing in the corner office, and papers began swirling like a tornado. I sketched down what I saw in the moment, its hard to put it to words.

For now, this case has gone cold, so im going to put a pin in it. I'll keep my eyes on the building, and update this file when I find something.
